Easter

We had lovely weather for Easter this weekend.  Not like last weekend!.  So let me back track.  Things are still pretty boring during the week. School, work, daycare, etc.  Last weekend we tried to go and do an Easter Egg hunt at my work.  We showed up to 6 inches of snow, blowing wind and very cold temperature.  It was halfway nice in Belle, but just 25 miles away the weather was completely different.  Thankfully we had snow boots and snow pants in the trunk of the car.  We were a bit late and by the time we got all the snow gear on the egg hunt was over.  There were a few nice kids who shared a few eggs with us.

Sophie had fun walking in the snow with Grammy, and Thomas, well he decided to wait till I got all his gear on to tell me he had to go to the toilet, so that was very interesting.  The rest of the week was uneventful.  Sophie got Strep throat so we met a local doctor.  They have a new wonder shot so we only had to stay home from work and daycare one day.

This weekend was much better.  Near 50 degrees, slight wind, and sunny.  They had the Easter bunny there, cops with bunny ears on, and the fire truck siren told us when to start the "hunt". I say hunt because the eggs were just laying on the ground and you just had to run as fast as you could to get them before the other kids.  But it was great fun.  The kids got way more than they needed.

Today we had them search for their baskets and eggs in the house.  Thomas was game until he found his basket, then all he wanted to do was play with his toys.  Sophie did a good job hunting though.  Blake challenged me, saying he always found his eggs to easily so I did a good job hiding them this time.  It took him a few hours to find them all.  Though he did find them before lunch so he still won the competition we had going.  I'll have to get more creative next year.  I've already got some places in mind.  How is it that he can find eggs that are purposely hidden to not be found, but he can't find his shoes?

The fire truck and the kids full baskets when we got done.

Thomas and his Easter basket and Dying Easter Eggs, oh the joy of having white eggs again :).
