Where are all the photos?

So last we left we were going to meet Kaye's brother and sister at Byron bay.  It was a lovely day.  The kids had a blast at the beach.  Unfortunately, due to prior independences  I'm not allowed to take a camera to the beach, where there is sand.  The kids made some friends though and it was a great time.

Last weekend we just stayed around the house to recuperate from school holidays.  Did some family shopping and what not.  Nothing exciting, but we did make a pretty big decision.  We notified the kids' daycares that we are pulling them out.  It was a hard decision but if we are going to get serious about this move, we have got to start saving money.  So after informing Thomas' daycare we found out that he only had one day left paid up, which means, this will be my first week without my Thursday break.  I hope I survive.  We also informed Sophie's C&K that we won't be enrolling her next year.  I would hate for us to leave in the middle of the year and another child miss out on the great opportunity.

Other things that I've done in preparations for moving was to inform the CWA that I will be leaving as of Dec.  With the kids out of Daycare it will just be too hard to continue.  I also started training new volunteers to take over school banking.  I was going to try to do it the year between Blake's graduation and Sophie's prep year but again, with us preparing to move and having both children, I thought it best to pass it off.

I've also made a list of things that we really don't need.  Can you believe the amount of things that we build up as we live?  Goodness.  So I've started the really large clean out.  I've already gone through all my craft boxes and materials and am giving them away to friends.  I went through the bookshelves yesterday and separated everything into piles; rubbish, make into digital, store, give away, sell.  So now we can sell our bookshelves...well as soon as I get rid of the piles that is :).

Next it will be the drawers (not containing clothes or dishes, and you can't imagine how many of those we actually have) and closets.  One bad thing about being so organized....I can fit heaps more stuff in small spaces than the average person.

Anyway, not too much exciting to take pictures of.  I have to remember that I have a camera on my phone now and use it more often.  Blake did get some awards at the CWA International School Competition today that I got on my phone, but frankly I'm already in bed and too tired to go find my phone and the cable I'll need.  So...these will have to do for now.  Plus those may be the only pictures I end up with for the next entry so I'd better save them.

The 10 minutes the kids actually played nicely together the whole day.  They are playing 'Go Fish' with Dora Cards.  Oh and don't forget to notice Thomas still has his hat on, with Jammies.

All our stuffed animals get 'horsy' rides on the dog.  

Thomas decided that he wanted to wear Sophie's doll shoes to go with his pink jammies we put him in for the night.
