School Holidays - Potty Training

The last week of term 2 flew by.  We are now in School Holidays, our winter break.  The kids get two weeks.  Usually I pack these full to keep the kids busy but after being sick..... well I didn't have time to plan anything except potty training:)  So the whole first week of school holidays we stayed home and potty trained Thomas.  He did amazingly well.  The last two times we've tried to potty train him he's gotten sick so we gave up.  He got sick again, but I decided that if he's going to get sick every time we potty train, why not just get it over with so he wouldn't be sick?

The first day was really rough, but after that he only had one accident a day the whole first week.  This 2nd week we've even had days with no accidents.  I was even brave enough to have visitors over Friday, Sunday, and Monday.  And got even braver when we went out to the shopping centre on Tuesday and a birthday party yesterday (Wednesday).  No accidents either place.  It was amazing.

Even though we stayed home we still managed to have some fun.  Below are some photos.

Trampoline Play with Big Brother

Fort Building - though here they call it cubby house building.

Dress Up

And of course Swimming.  Look at those smiles!

Arts and Crafts at the Shopping centre.

Being cool - Blake with an Angry Bird and Thomas in his sunnies.  for those of you who don't know what an Angry Bird is....It's a computer game that is totally retarded but for some reason every boy and man loves it.  Basically you throw angry birds at things to break them.

Birthday party.  Australian's play a game called pass the parcel.  You sit in a circle and pass the present around until the music stops.  That child gets to open the gift.  The gift is layered with many little presents.  After the child unwraps one layer of the gift and gets his surprise the music starts again and away they go again.
