Leah and Jon have arrived

The wait last week was hard, but the time has finally arrived. This weekend we didn't do much except make the yard all pretty. I finished the path from the back door to the clothes line, compost and chicken shed. The lawn was mowed, whipper snipped (weed eater), all 5 gardens weeded and all the trees weeded as well. Monday rolled around and I had to make sure to keep myself busy so the wait didn't kill me. I did a bunch of laundry but saved all the house cleaning till Michael and Blake could help me.

Wednesday finally arrived and of course the plane was delayed. I took the kids to playgroup so I didn't pace a path in the floor. I still got home before they did, but by the time I got the kids down for their naps and started preparing lunch, they arrived. It was good that we only introduced Kaitlyn to a little at a time. Thomas and Rocky came first. Then Sophie woke up, and later on Blake got home from school. She seems to be doing well.

Unfortunately they brought the rainy weather with them so we haven't done anything to take pictures of. We did make it to the shops yesterday, but who takes pictures of shopping? Today is rainy again and we are only going to a few appointments and picking up some of our choices from yesterday. We are going to try to make it to the cheesecake shop, but we'll see if we can make it. It seems that none of our children like to sleep at the same time! Hopefully we will be able to make it to the beach this weekend.

Funny face while eating.

Remember when I said to picture this with grass? Well here it is.

Our over achieving chickens often create eggs with more than one yoke - a triple and two doubles! It's common until they get the hang of making eggs. The eggs are still really small too.
