Leah and Jon fun

The last few days we've managed to fit in some fun site seeing for Leah and Jon. Last Sat we just stayed around the house and worked. Sunday morning we took it nice and easy, then we headed to the beach. It was Kaitlyn's first time playing in the ocean. Unfortunately we went late in the day and it wasn't really warm. Then we treated them to fish and chips.

Monday we took a trip downtown Brisbane. We took the train and got off at the south end of South Bank. We stopped at a few museums on the way to the north end. They also saw the arches of flowers, and the very fun water play area, but it was the children's nap time so we didn't stop to play. We walked across the new pedestrian foot path bridge across the Brisbane River to go to the Botanic Gardens. Then we stopped by St. Stephens Cathedral on the way back to Central Station for our ride back home.

Tuesday - unfortunately we were all sick. My family and Kaitlyn with our lingering cold, and Leah with a stomach bug. But Wednesday we were all about the fun again. We went to Sea World. It was really fun to see Leah and Jon be amazed at things. Kaitlyn and Sophie had fun too. I took them to "The Spit" to see the 'real ocean' since the swimming place we took them too on Sunday was very tame. Thursday we took a long drive down south. We stopped at Mt Warning to hike a few hours, then drove up to go to Byron Bay lighthouse and the most eastern point of Australia.

Today - Friday, Leah and Jon went to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Since we just went with Jeremiah a few days ago, I decided to give myself and the children a break, so we are just chillin at the farm. We are going to treat Leah and Jon to Nepalese food tonight and have many more fun things planned for this weekend at the farm. I didn't take many pictures of downtown Brisbane as I've put them on previous posts, and Byron Bay was posted on my brother's post. But I did get a few others to share below.
