Happy Birthday to me

Well last Friday was my birthday. Thanks everyone for the well wishes, cards, thoughts, and prayers. It was a very exciting day. I shoveled dirt into the trailer so Michael could take it to the tip. Ok, so that day wasn't that exciting. But I did make myself a wonderful angel food cake from scratch (since they don't have the boxed stuff here) and it turned out great. On Sat David came up and helped Michael clean up our yard. Unfortunately it rained on us on Sun so we didn't get it completely done, but it looks much better. Now there are only little things to touch up on the veranda and house before our BBQ on the 3rd of Oct. We did get most of the grass seed planted before the rains came so that was a bonus.

It's been rainy all week so not much else has gotten done. We bought a new double pram and I've been walking to the shops, even in the rain. It has a rain guard and is very easy to push. I have two saddle bags, and Thomas' leg space to use (until he gets bigger) for the groceries. I did finally get around to starting my scrap booking. I got the children's front 'name' pages done, along with Blake's 9th birthday page and my first page of 'my crafts' book. I think if I do two pages a day I should be all caught up in two weeks. Just in time for me to clean up the mess for my brother's visit.

Yesterday I was able to get some self time by leaving the kids at the farm with Kaye and David and going in for a message (b-day present from Kaye and David). It was lovely.

Blake started his school holidays this week. So far he's had fun staining the veranda posts, helping me with the little ones, doing dishes, and cleaning the house. Don't worry, we have some fun planned for him later, but thought we would get as much work out of him as we could before the REAL holiday starts (when Jeremiah gets here).

For the first week I didn't have to go to any doctors appointments or hospital visit in a month. It was so nice! Thomas is doing great, we got our first real laugh out of him this week, and Sophie continues to amaze us.

Caution, there is nudity. She's not wearing pants.

At this point it's still hard to capture on film, but is fun trying!

Sophie likes to be wrapped in her towel after baths.

Just chillin. He is a very chill child. Thanks for that!

Sophie loves to play with Thomas.

My birthday cake. Isn't it lovely :)
