Poor little guy

Last Thursday our little guy started to get very fussy. I couldn't figure it out until we gave him his bath that night. Poor little guy was swollen in the unmentionable. On Friday I spent the whole day at 3 different doctors, first the General Practitioner, then the Pediatrician, then the Pediatric Surgeon. The diagnosed him with Inguinal Hernia. On Sat we went in for surgery. It was just a day thing and we were home by 7pm. He had bilateral Inguinal Hernia repair done.

In English - that means that the tubes that his testicles used to drop down got blocked up with some fatty tissue on the right side and he started swelling up with fluid. They closed both tubes during the operation so we didn't have a chance of it happening again on the left side. On Sunday we went down to the farm and had a nice relaxing day. Thomas slept a lot and seemed to be doing much better.

It's Wednesday now, and besides a little bruising, you can't even tell anything was wrong. He's doing great. Needless to say, we didn't get many pictures or activities done for this blogs' update, so I just took some pictures of my pretty flowers that are starting to bloom now that it's spring.

Oh this is a funny one. During one of her fits before nap time, she ended up throwing all her toys and blankets out of her cot. So she took the changing mat to use as a pillow and used her pillow as a blanket. She's now in a big girl bed, and though she's cried a few times when we put her to sleep, she hasn't gotten out of her bed yet. She even waits for us to come get her before she gets out of bed in the mornings. What a good girl.
