Still nothing new - Just Kidding!!!

Thomas Benjamin McNaught arrived on the 4th of June at 12:23. He was 53cm long and weighed 3.7 kilos. In US terms that's 20.8 inches and about 8 lbs 5 oz.

I went into labor on Tuesday at around 2pm (June 1st). But unfortunately I stopped at 4cm. On Wednesday we went in for an appointment. The Dr. did a stretch and scrape and was hopeful that we would be back that evening, but alas nothing happened that night or all day on Thursday. Friday morning the Dr. broke my water at 7:20am but again by 9:30 nothing happened. So they put in a drip to induce me. The usual amount of 'drip' is 200 mil an hour, but they only put me up to 15, being cautious because of my previous cesarean. At 12:00 pm I was fully dilated. It took 4 pushes and he slid out nicely at 12:23. I guess that means that my brother won the guessing game. We'll take him out to dinner since he's coming to visit us soon:)

Both Thomas and I are doing well. We spent the night at the hospital and are now home enjoying lots of rest and family. Kaye and David are still here helping out and Michael, after spending the whole day and night sitting around with us in the hospital, was very excited to get outside and work some more on the carport. So far Thomas is a great sleeper only eating every 6-8 hours, but I'm sure that will change after he rests up.

Sophie seems unfazed by the event. When she came to see us in the hospital, you could tell very much that she missed her Dad. Though she was kind of scared of the bed and cords to come to close to Mom. She kept trying to give Thomas her dolly and she gave him a few kisses as well. Now that we are home she does try to share her teddy's with him and only once so far has she gotten jealous that I was using the feeding pillow for Thomas instead of letting her use it for her toys.

Rocky was very curious at first and has decided that we can keep this one. He smells good I guess. Rocky even stands guard while Thomas feeding. You can tell he was very pleased to have Dad home as well when he stretched fully out to get a nice long belly rub.

Blake is very proud to be a big brother again, though he was off to play with his friends less than an hour after we got home.
