This week took us back to the every day tasks we all need to do but aren't worth chatting about. Blake got fired from his first job. Actually his mom and dad fired him from doing papers because he complained way too much and took 5 hours to do something that should only take him 1. So I am doing his route and mine for the last two weeks until school starts. He hasn't missed the money yet but he will!:)
Sophie just grew 2 more inches and is eating and sleeping a lot. She's taller than the kitchen table now and can reach things she's not supposed to. Michael is back at work and I am trying to be patient until our extension is started. I can't do any nesting until it beings! What am I going to do...
Kaye and David took their sail boat out for a long weekend run and we met them at the end of their adventure. Blake got to go on a ride, though they had to use the motor as there wasn't enough wind at that time to sail. Sophie didn't have a life jacket so she couldn't got. We'll fix that soon enough. Blake was real excited because he got to steer the boat. He didn't run into anything either. We were so proud.

Again, who needs toys?
Foreground: Sophie just spied Dad returning and is running to see him.
Background: Blake trying to fill a hole with sand faster than it soaks in.
Blake is ready to be a sailer.
Kaye and David on their boat in the harbor. It's the one with the blue bottom. You can barely see David's hat in the back and Kaye is in a blue shirt bending over to pull up the anchor in the front.
Yes, we start our children young on their chores! Just kidding. We have to vacuum while she's sleeping because every time we turn on the vacuum she runs over to us and takes it away so she can do it herself.
She really does love her watermelon. Thankfully Michael grew some so we have plenty for free.

Sophie and her toy box. Yes it truly is a box, cardboard even.
