The summer is treating us well. We are starting to get some unfinished projects finished. We are also preparing for our new extension, hoping that council approves the project by the end of this month. (Here's hoping.) This week was a little hotter but we didn't have to use the A/C till Wednesday. Then Thursday we only used it because we were working extra hard and had the iron going all day. Friday we didn't need it or Sat but then Sunday it got up to 36!!! (96 F) with a very high humidity. 68% I think. Ew. Today is supposed to be even hotter but then it's supposed to level out around 30 for the rest of the week. I can't wait until the rains come. Whew.
Question of the month....When will I stop being lazy and get serious about potty training? Will it be today? This week? *sigh* The longer I wait the harder it will be because I won't be able to rush her to the toilet and sit on the floor as easily. I guess I'd better try to start today:)
I have my 20 week scan this week, though I'm only at 19.5 weeks. We are also taking a tour of the maternity ward which should be exciting. I'm starting to feel him/her moving around a bit as well. It will be interesting to see the scan. Every scan so far he/she has been moving around a lot at the time.
Michael did a few projects around the house this weekend, though Sunday it just got too hot to be outside. We got rid of our last palm tree, though still have to work around the stumps for a bit. He's also acquired a gas stove top and is thinking of installing it next week. I'm not sure how I feel about my kitchen being torn apart..... maybe I'll have to leave for the day. Aunt Jessie is coming for a visit next weekend and it's also Australia Day (equivalent of our July 4th) on the 26th so there are some things to look forward too. Baseball and school start up after that as well.
Video:
Sophie loves to help Dad with his projects. She's really handy with a tape measure and pencil though we didn't get a picture of that. She's also enthralled with machines.
Some of the shops around here have these little trolley's for the children. She does better with hers than I do with mine! She's a really good driver.
She hasn't gotten the tea cups out yet, but here's the start!
We discovered bubbles for the bath. What fun.
She loves to put the bubbles in brothers hair.
We are still making her earn her keep. She's a great sweeper. She uses the big broom first and then the little broom and dustpan just like mom.
Aw isn't he the cutest.
Michael garden. He's good and growing corn. Zucchini is coming along and we got our first cucumber the other day as well.
This melon is from Michael's garden as well. They all turned out really well and were delicious. We will be eating our last one this week though. Boooo.
