Well we arrived back home on Dec 30th. Just enough time to unpack and clean and go shopping before we had our New Years Day BBQ. We invited some of the neighbors and Blake's friends. They had a great time playing on the trampoline and taking their bikes down to the muddy jump in the park. We had a nice time but tired quickly. We had everything cleaned up and were ready to relax by 6pm.
The last few days of Michael's vacation went by quickly. He was out working in his shed of course. Now that he's back at work the kids and I are establishing a routine. Blake is back at work doing his paper routes as well this week. We are also riding our bikes to his school each day so I can be assured that he's able to do it safely by the time school starts up.
Sophie has started throwing tantrums to get her way. Man, they start early. It was kind of cute the first time. She started this winy cry thing and sat down on the floor with her head between her knees. It stopped being cute after the first two times. When she does it we just leave the room. She's becoming very demanding but we are slowly breaking her of it. For awhile she wouldn't drink anything unless it was juice. So for awhile she got no juice at all and now she only gets one glass a day. She's getting more picky with her eating as well so sometimes she doesn't get much to eat. As soon as she starts throwing it, we take it all away. Sometimes she only gets a bite or two, but boy does she eat well at the next meal.
Here are some lovely video's and photo's for you.
Who needs toys?
This is a disaster waiting to happen. We were in the middle of drying dishes when we went outside, which explains the towel and jug.
One day I went in to get her up from her nap. I opened the the door and usually she gets right up and wants out. This time she played for a really long time before she even noticed the door was opened. It's sort of dark because of the curtains but it's still cute.
Fixing her chair, just like daddy.
"Yay, I can't jump yet but I love the way it bounces."
"Ah, I love you daddy. Kisses."
Blake has eyes for the camera, Sophie has eyes for the birds.
Can't they always get along this good?

Sophie has learned how to lift up your shirt and tickle your tummy.

Sophie with Blake's new rubber band gun. She is very quick to learn after watching and is trying to put the rubber band on it.
"Look mom, I can climb a ladder......now, how am I going to get down?"
