So they call vacation here holidays, in case all of you in the US are confused. Blake goes back to school on Wednesday. Last week was the last week of holidays so we made sure we had lots of fun. In fact, we had so much fun and took so many photo's that I have to save half for next week's post.
Blake has finished his typing and has signed up for email and Facebook. Oh dear. I hope you all got a friend request, if not let us know! Oh Wednesday we went downtown Brisbane to what they call Southbank. It's sort of like the 16th street Mall in Denver. They have a water fun area with several pools, next to kids play area, next to a beach. It's quite extravagant. But before we went to the water, we had to visit the Art museum first. They have several activities for children. Blake and Sophie had a blast.
Since Blake was removed from his paper boy position, I have since found a replacement. Sophie is quite a big help. Though she only gets to do two of the smaller streets with me because she takes 30 minutes to do 24 papers. It is quite cute though and the neighbors love to watch her and say hi.
This weekend we went down to the farm and Aunt Jessie was visiting. We'll show you more of bath time fun , rocking chair fun, and fun at the farm in the next post. We are all ready for school to start in 2 days and have enjoyed our visit from Jessie this weekend. Wish Michael luck as he installs a new oven converting from electric to gas and hope that he can actually do it in a day so I don't have to go without cooking for too long.
This is one of the activities for toddlers at the museum. Of course Blake was "helping" her by making his own garden.
Here they are both coloring fans.
This is the shaded walkway that covers the length of Southbank. It's quite pretty when it's in bloom.
Our new paper girl. Most mail boxes around here have a place for the papers either above or below their letters.
Sophie still loves to play mom to her Teddy's. Here she is feeding him.
First pony tail.
