Well last Tuesday, just as I was going to update everything and inform everyone we were going offline, the internet was cut off on us a day early! So here is a late update for everyone.
Last week we moved into our new house. The first change was that Blake started a new school on Monday. He seems to like his new uniform and is making friends fast. He has now been going for a full week and into his second. He has a male teacher and seems to enjoy it a lot. He can also join the choir and not have to miss his lunch play time so he's happy about that.
We took our first load of stuff over on Tuesday night. Settlement wasn't until 3pm and since it's winter here, it gets dark about 5 so that was all we had time for. On Wed, David and Janet came up and we moved nearly everything in one day. We slept in our house for the first time that night. The weather gets some getting used to. We moved inland and it's a bit colder. The house is also shaded and better made so it stays cold inside nearly all day. Our heater is being installed on Monday. We can't wait!
Thursday we did one more load and then set to unpacking. Friday I unpacked the rest that was inside while Michael cleaned up the old house. What a job that was. Sat we dropped off our old keys and went to the farm to see Nanna and Pa. Sat we spent all morning cooking for Kaye's big 60th birthday party. It was a great turn out. Most of the pictures are of people you (people in the US) don't know talking and eating so I only picked a few to share. It was a lovely party though. The weather was beautiful, the music was grand, the food was awesome, and the company was splendid.
This week we are getting up pictures, cleaning out the garage, installing more lights, changing things around etc. Jessie was here yesterday and was a great help taking care of Sophie for me and helping me shift things. What a blessing. Our normal computer is not yet hooked up (we have to move a cabinet, mount a dryer on the wall and build a desk in the laundry first) so the video's have to wait a bit.
Sorry it was so brief, but as you can see a lot has happened and if I went into detail I'm sure I would loose my readers! We are having our house warming combined with Sophie's first birthday in two weeks and there will be lots more.
