Fun in the Sun

Last weekend we has some fun.  Sat morning we went to this beach area that I found that has a sand dune trapping a little lake of sea so there are no waves and the water is a bit warmer.  It still got deeper than Blake could touch as well so it was a right nice swimming hole. Blake made lots of friends and watched some fishers catch some fish off the sand dune.  Sophie thought the water was a bit cold, but still had fun playing in the sand and chewing on the salty toys.  Rocky had a blast swimming out to get his ball and showing off to all the other kids.

Then we drove down to where Kaye and David were camping and went on a short bush walk to the river.  There was a nice little pond there and a waterfall.  Blake made fast friends and went with Kaye and the big kids down to the bottom of the waterfall.  We stayed in the little pond above the waterfall with Sophie.  The water was too cold for us girls, but Michael and Blake hopped right in.  Rocky chased a stick in the water till we got too tired to throw it, then the wind came up so he went out and chased the leaves when they fell in the water.  He was shivering so bad you felt sorry for him, but he wouldn't stop playing.

After that we went down to the farm to spend the night.  Michael helped David put more tin on the rough in case the cyclone came our way and then we all went to bed tired.  On Sunday Blake got to help the neighbors move a chicken shed, Michael worked on his stereo project and then helped David with the new nut conveyor belt project.  I stayed with Sophie and she took a few good naps.  Then Kaye took us to meet up with some friends and we accompanied them to the Muesum.  They had a visiting display with lots of history about Australia.  It was sort of hard to read everything while talking with Kaye's friends and holding Sophie, but it was fun.    Then we trekked back home.

This week it's been really raining but the cyclone has disappated and won't be a threat to us.  I've finished the cross stitching for Blake's present and will now work on bordering them and then adding them to the quilt.  Hopefully I will have the quilt together by the end of next week so I have two weeks to tie it before his birthday.  I have figured out how to upload video's so I don't have to wait for Michael to do it!  Here are a few from this weekend.  Becareful, they do include nudity.
