Dover, Cantebury and some other places

Wednesday we drove the other direction - South East instead of South West to the big City of Dover. We wanted to see the Dover castle as it has a treasure hunt for the kids and war tunnels that the first 1000 visitors of the day get to go see. Our unfortunate luck had the Castle closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We did get some good pictures from the hillside though. We then drove to see two more castles in Walmer and Deal. You can google any of these if you are interested in more info. We drove back through Canterbury, the famous town and Cathedral and known for the Canterbury Tales, a collection of tales by Geoffrey Chaucer. We were in a hurry to get to Leeds before that castle closed its tours, so we didn't stop to get pictures.

Canturbury Cathedral in the background. See the tower thingy?

Deal Castle

Blake on the beach. Yeah, not too much sand around, but it's a haven for a little boy that loves rocks.

Big Fairy Peir that does all transport between England and France and is on the English Channel.

Yes it was cold.

Dover Castle. On the left side it goes out onto cliff.
