Conventry, Stratford-upon-Avon, Cotswolds

After a nice rest day on Thursday we took Friday and hopped back into the car. We drove to Coventry to have breakfast with a friend of the family. We did go see Kenilworth castle from the outside but didn't stay in Coventry long. We drove to Stratford to see where Shakespeare grew up and went shopping for souvenirs. We saw the Avon river as well. Then we took a very long drive through the Cotswolds which has many tiny little village and saw a big of the country. We returned home and tired and didn't make it to Oxford. We also didn't make it to Cambridge as today we are taking it easy and packing and tomorrow we are off home. It has been a good trip, though I do miss Rocky and our neighbors already have a weekend get together planned. Even though we had two sick days, a rest day, and an extra travel day, we still fit in quite alot. Though there is much more to see. Hopefully one day we will be able to return and get to Ireland and Scotland as well. I'll update you all when we get home safe and then it will be back to a boring day to day stuff. I maybe be getting on facebook shortly so I'll keep you all posted on that.

My first quilting project. I did all the tying and machine stuff and my mom did the hand quiting. This is for my sister's baby who is due May 27th.

Blenheim Palace - (Churchhill's crib). Though we got there at sunset and couldn't go for a tour.

Nice large cottege in the Cotswolds. There were some with thatched roofs as well.

Sunset.

Avon River.

Shakespear's crib.

Kenilworth Castle. This one is in ruins, but it would have been fun to tour. If you plan to visit, you should come in Summer when all the tours are open. And you really need at least two weeks to see a good chunk off the top of what England has to offer.
