We left on Wednesday and stayed the night with Jill, Briony and Tim. Thursday we went to the US Embassy to get Sophie's birth abroad certificate, US passport and SSN card. She will have dual citizenship. After that we met Hayley from my work for a nice lunch. We drove down to Traralgon to finish out the day with Jon and Bec. We met the bridal party and Bec's family. They were so sweet. Bec's Mum even made Sophie a Quilt!
Friday was more relaxing. We stayed with Judy and Al. They have a beautiful house and a really nice block of land outside of Inverlock. Kaye, David and Jesse all came down for lunch. We went to the beach. Michael, Al and Blake had lots of fun finding one armed Bandits (little fishy things they use for bait) while the rest of us when on a short hike. We went to visit Nanna Bonnie and Pa then back home for a great BBQ.
Sat was the wedding. I'll write more about that tomorrow. In the morning before the wedding, Al took Blake fishing. Oh he was so excited. Al said he didn't even get bored though they were gone over 3 hours. I guess it's something we will have to keep up now that he's learned how. They caught two fish but they weren't big enough to be keepers. Michael was already down for the wedding so he missed all the fun.
After the wedding, Sophie was so tired she slept for 9 hours straight! Oh it was so exciting. We thought it was probably just all the excitement and stuff, but Sunday night she did it again! Oh we were so blessed. However since we have come home she's gone back to her old habits. Though today she did take a 6 hour nap from 4am to 10am. That allowed me to get all the unpacking done, house cleaned up, laundry washed and hung out, emails answered, showered, fed and most of this blog done before she woke up. She's a happy little one today, all smiles and grins. I'll have to work on getting one of those on film now that they are regular.
Back to the story....
Sunday we had some cousins come for a visit in the morning. They had lots of fun playing ball in Judy and Al's big yard. We then drove to see Nan Peg. I am sad that I didn't get any pictures while we were there. We went off to finish the day with Tate and Karen, which I also didn't get any pictures of. I must be slipping. It was a long day, but lots of fun. Monday we were able to sleep in. We took the scenic drive back to the airport. I'll post some of those pictures later this week.
