The Wedding

The wedding was lots of fun. It was small, about 50 people, and they had it in their yard. The weather was really nice too. The wind came up just a little during the ceremony, enough to knock over a vase and make people laugh, and then died down again. They had a marque put up for the quests and the wedding party stood out in the sun, which made for good photo's. The ceremony was nice and short. One thing they did that was unique was to pass the rings around to the quests to have them blessed. They asked me to have Sophie do it to before hand and when we did the photographer was ready. I hope we get a copy of that picture.

The bride was a stunning sight and of course the groom was jolly. Jon started yelling "wife" as soon as the wedding was over and he needed to get Bec's attention. It was quite funny. Being that there were so few guests and the wedding went from 3pm - 10pm, we had plenty of time to meet everyone and have lengthy conversations to get to know them. There were 4 babies there. Sophie wasn't even the youngest, in fact, she was the 2nd oldest! There was a 10 month old, Sophie who was 8 weeks, a 3 week old and a 2 week old! We had fun comparing stories and antidotes with the other mothers.

Blake got to help lay the flowers before the bride came out. He ran out before the other children as he was very enthusiastic about it. He also made best friends with the neighbor kid and had great fun. They played with the bubbles of course, but also got to play with Jon's playstation which was the best thing in the world!

Sohpie wore her little pink sun dress that Mel and Cherie bought during my shopping trip. She was so beautiful. She did have an accident while dad was holding her and poo starting coming out all over! Good thing we brought a spare dress! And pictures were over so that was good. She only took a few naps as she didn't want to miss anything (just like big brother) but that also led to her sleeping her first night straight through.

Michael was best man and did an awesome job. Though he really didn't have to do anything but stand there and look handsome. He didn't even have to walk down the isle! He did take care of the rings so there was that. It was hard to hold the baby and take pictures, but I did get a few that I've posted below. I am hoping to get a few copies from the bride and groom later. Ain't technology grand! What did we ever do before digital photo's!

Pa, Kaye, Nanna, David, Jon, Bec, Michael, Jesse - The McNaught Family

Before the ceremony both McNaught boys pulled out their phones and were playing with them. Boys!

Auntie Jessie and Grandpa David during one of Sophie's naps.

Family Photo. Hmmm, Blake looks like he's thinking - 'come on get it over with' and Sophie looks like she's working on a present for us. Maybe we can get a better one from someone else!

Blake and his new friendn Jack. Or was it Jake. No Jake was the dog which is also a new friend of his. Blake, Jake, Jack - yes it was an interesting time.
