Well, the garage sale this weekend didn't go so well. Though the weather was perfect for it, the timing for everything else was not great. Blake and I worked hard Friday night to get everything ready and by Sat morning at 7am we are all worked up and excited! We had a few people show up even before we put the signs up! It was unusually slow for a garage sale as I've done 3 now. We found out from a customer that one of our arrows was not pointing down our street. Angie went to fix it and checked all the other signs when she left me at 10:30. From 10:30-12:00 we did good business, but then it stopped again. I thought maybe it was just the time; lots of people get busy Sat afternoon and with such nice weather! So we packed up about 4. Thanks to my neighbors we still did pretty good business. When we went to eat that night we checked on the signs and found all but 2 missing! One of the two had our arrows crossed out and more arrows made pointing in the other direction. Who does that?? Anyway, after talking to my Mom and the week that I'd had, we decided to take Sunday off to relax and try the garage sale again next week when she was here to help.
Sunday turned out to be wonderful! We slept in till nearly 9. Watched two movies while I worked, made new garage sale signs, had the Awana graduation, and made Calzones. Went to bed at like 7 and read my book. Can I order more days like this!? hehehe. The upcoming week will be hectic for me as my temp and boss will be in town for training, but nothing (I hope) to exciting to write about.
