House Updates - 3rd week of September

This week was 'decking' the veranda roof, and lots of moving earth - finishing off as much of the dirt work as possible before the winter freezes the ground hard.

THe veranda is 'decked' and tar papered.  Ready for shingles.

We had enough top soil from the house excavation to build a garden bed for next year.

there used to be a bug pile of dirt here, now it is inside the barn.

Air conditioner is set, and dirt is levelled.

We had to build up the inside of the barn by up to 2 feet.  It was then covered by stone and vibrator compacted.
