End of July already ??!!

The last two and half weeks have been a roller-coaster.  Basically one week was spent getting ready for Michael to leave on his trip, preparing meals ahead of time, getting all the washing done, doing all the shopping an errands for the week ahead etc. so when he was gone I had nothing to do but survive.

And it was a good thing I did!  After he left, we all got sick.  But we managed and upon his return I was able to rest and get myself better.  Only the last 3 days have I felt good enough to do a full days 'work', and it was just in time for Michael to leave again.  I'm not quite as prepared as I was last time, but at least I have Blake to help me this time.  Though that also means more to do... swimming drop offs and pick ups, Choir concert on Wed, and for extras I have both the P&C meeting and CWA meeting this week as well as a sign up day for school banking which I'm going to be involved in.  *sigh*  I may have bitten off more than I can chew, but we will power through.  Kaye will be up to help me on Tuesday night so that will help.

One of the big events this week was haircuts.  We have been trying to get Blake's hair cut since last school term.  We finally agreed on a hair style that we both could settle with, and though I still think it looks messing in the front, I don't feel that I want to shave him in his sleep any more.  We found out while there that they have half price Monday's and Tuesday's so we got Thomas' cut as well.

I did get a chance to take Thomas and Sophie to Movie World this past Friday afternoon.  We got season passes this year and it's a good thing we did.  We can only last about 3 hours before the kids are too tired to function.  And if I paid $70 for a 3 hour play I would have cried.  This way we can go for 2 hours any afternoon we have free.  They love it.  Michael was able to fix our camera but unfortunately I forgot it so tried out the camera on my phone.  The photos turned out pretty good but I think all the videos are sideways, and of course Michael isn't here to help me fix them, soooo, just turn your screen sideways and enjoy!

Thomas was just barely tall enough to go on this ride.  It just went up and down but he got to laughing so hard all the parents watching were laughing as well.  He even learned how to put his hands up, it was so cute.

Blake's before and after shots.  I know you can't tell much but at least his ears can be seen and the back of his neck is clean.

Thomas' hair cut.

The kids reading in bed for the 5 minutes before prayers. They are so cute reading out loud.

Riding the train.

The Tweety bird ride, hence the bird cage :)
