Two weekends ago I was blessed with the opportunity to share my love of quilting with the ladies of my church. It was great to see women of all ages come to attend. I showed them the log cabin pattern that my mom has passed down to me and which we both love so much because it's easy and fast. The ladies turned this pattern into several different items. There were handbags, table decor, and of course quilts. It was fun just being together and learning something new. We hope to do another craft day in June to complete the projects that we started.
In other news, the children seem to have grown out of their 'terrible twos' stage. For a bit there Sophie and Thomas seemed to be going through it at the same time. Now they seem like nice little angels again. Last week we had a catch up week, with Anzac day on the Wednesday. It was nice having Michael and Blake home to help, and Aunt Jessie came up as well. She taught me a little more of knitting and was a great help with the kids.
Then it rained all weekend so we had a weekend off from shaking trees. It has been very rainy here, and though I like the rain because it symbolizes the coming of cooler weather, it was hard to get the harvesting done.
I did a Tupperware party last week, which was the first in a really long time, almost two months I think. And it was one of those parties that was just enjoyable, not actual work. The ladies were wonderful and we had a great time.
We went to a new playgroup on Wednesday. Three of the ladies from our Tuesday playgroup were there so it was easy for the children to jump right in to play. We will probably continue to go there on the days when I don't have CWA.
Sorry it wasn't very interesting this week. I'll leave you with a few cute photos and videos to tide you over. Next week I'll be doing some posts on harvest and the new processes we have since I last posted of it nearly 4 years ago now.
Thomas' new fashion. Sophie's swim hat, and Lollie back pack, his jammies though mismatching top and bottom, and Blake's shoes.
Thomas is wearing a shower cap, though he thinks its a chefs hat as he is 'cooking' his blankie.
