Halfway there

I am currently in Taipei Taiwan. The flights here were not to bad. The plane left nearly 30 minutes late but was nearly half empty to make up for it. You would think that with a plane that empty, everyone would move away from the lady with the baby. But there was one bloke who stuck it out the entire way. We were sitting in a row of 3 seats. When Thomas finally fell asleep, I put him on the floor and he kept creeping up to sleep on the guys feet.

Thomas did pretty well. He stayed awake during take off and dinner. Then was restless for a bit but fell sleep fairly well considering. He woke up right after breakfast was served and got to play a bit before the fasten seatbelt sign came on for decent. We arrived at 5:30am Taipei time and 7:30am Brisbane time. Of the 8 hour flight, Thomas slept the middle 4 hours. I kept waking to check on him though so was very tired.

He had some very cute moments though. Like wanting everything to go on his lap. All the blankets, toys, pillows everything. Or when he was stepping on two blankets and a pillow and reaching on his tip tops to look out the window instead of just climbing on the seat.

When we landed, we had a nice meal of shrimp fried rice, tried to kill about 3 hours, and finally asked to check into our hotel room early. Which the allowed. Thomas had just fallen asleep again so I put him down, read for a bit and tried to sleep myself. The beds were very hard and the pillows way to big but managed to rest for 2 hours till Thomas woke up. Then came baths and showers, more food, and another walk around the airport before another 3 hour nap. Then came stretching, cleaning, changing, and repacking along with more food.

Now I am wondering around the airport trying to kill the last 5 hours till we take off again. I think Thomas is about to fall asleep again. I'm really glad I brought a stroller. I tried to use the media centre at the hotel but I couldn't figure out the keyboard and all the webpages were not in English. These are a little better, but I still have to figure out which link is the sign in link and which button changes the language which is quite difficult if you can't read it to begin with. I'm going to try to get into facebook now so I can let you know I've updated this, otherwise you'll have to wait till I get to an English speaking country.

Hope to update you again soon. I really miss the rest of my family, but can't wait to get to my final destination either.
