I had my birthday this past week. It wasn't so bad as birthdays go. We went to the beach with the crew. Janet made a nice sugary sponge cake with jam and cream. Not quite as good as angel food cake, but the closest thing they have to it here. The kids had a good play in the water and then we ate a nice picnic. After that we went to the sculpture festival. There was nothing that wow'd me, but there were some good ones. Of course I didn't take the camera. Oh, some whales were playing off the coast so we got to see some breaching and slapping of the fins. That was a treat. People pay good money to see that.
Oh Monday I did a girls shopping trip with Mel. It was hot but I found some good buys. I also surprised myself when I fit into some things marked "small" and some others marked '10's" (8 US). I didn't think I would ever get down to this. I haven't even been trying to loose any more weight; just tone it up.
We all got a tummy bug that lasted about 24 hours. Thankfully we all had it and passed it within about 50 hours so it wasn't an on going thing. Thomas' eye teeth have popped through again, but I think they are here to stay. We still need to change his shirt several times a day because of the drool but the pain seems to be gone. Blake is on school holidays but we don't have any special plans. He is going to a kids club at our church for three days next week. I hope that will be fun.
Left: Thomas and Sophie in their over sized robes. We wanted them to fit a few years. They both love them. What the photo doesn't tell you is that its about 28 C (82F) and no need for one.
Right: Sophie no longer takes naps, but she has to play in her room while Thomas is napping so Mom can work. More often than not, she falls asleep playing.
Top Left: Thomas loves to put on hats now. His, Sophie's, Dad's, mine, it doesn't matter. If he thinks it belongs on a head, he'll put it on.
Others: Thomas lifting our 'baby rattles' (2lbs). He's so cute:)
Top Left: Thomas and Rocky, Dad's welcome home from work greeting.
Others: One of the lasts baths that Sophie and Thomas shared. Thankfully I was able to get one that had the important parts covered and I could crop another one to leave those bits out:)
