Sophie's birthday part 2

If you are looking for part 1, I posted it on Tuesday but for some reason it posted under the Misc posting below. Don't miss out on it, there are some cute videos and photos.

Part 1 was all about the party we had at the farm. Part 2 is all about the small little party and day we had at home. Sophie woke up at 6am, which is a half an hour later than normal for her. After we did wees on the toilets and put together our puzzle, we woke up Dad and brother and then opened her presents. She only had three since she got most of her stuff at the farm. We started with the most boring. It came in the mail and was a stuffed penguin. She got it because I donated some money to an animal thingy. Since the packaging was a tough postage bag we used the scissors to open it. she wanted to use the scissors to open everything after that.

Her other gift was two babies and a carrier and the last gift was a scooter. She did also get a clam shell sand pit, but we can't set it up till the veranda is done (hopefully by the end of the month) so we didn't get it out to show her yet. Nanna also sent her $50! So I took her shopping at Mr. Toy World and let her pick out her own toys. She was so funny shopping. Right when she walked in the door she grabbed a horse and cow and wouldn't put them down till she found a pram (stroller) and put them in it to push them around. As she was pushing it, she would grab things off the shelf and put it in the pram as she sees me do at the grocery store.

It was way cute. She tried out several different prams, but we decided not to get one. Then we found a trolley (shopping cart) and tried to push the pram and the trolley and decided on the trolley. I kept putting all the expensive, noisy, and messy things away when she wasn't looking. She really liked to play with the ride in cars there. When I showed her the little couch thingy, she tried to fit it in the car she was driving and it was really funny to watch. When we finally went to pay, she took all the stuff out of the trolley and then wanted to put the trolley away, cause that's what we always do, you know. So on the way back from putting the trolley away I grabbed some leggos since it freed up some of her money.

She ended up getting legos, bubbles, some jewelry, a shovel, a back pack, two ducks, and a match box truck. We spent about and hour there. Not something I want to do every day, but it was quite fun. The rest of the day we just played with our toys. It was raining so we had to do the outside things in the car port but it all worked out.

Sophie Opening 2nd B-day gifts take 2 - the first take is in the other post.
Thomas doing sit ups - had to throw this in there. He makes the funniest smiles.
Sophie using the Phone - She learns so much by watching.

This was her favorite car until she realized it wouldn't go. Then she moved on to one she could push with her feet.

She made sure to share her penguin with Thomas.

Thomas slept through the present opening, Sophie made sure to keep checking on him though.

Her new carrier. She figured out it can fit two dolls, two teddies, one blanket, two ducks, and a truck before things started to fall out.

Her new scooter. The pretty pink princess one was for ages 5+ so we had to go with Thomas and Friends. She doesn't seem to mind the blue though and now Thomas can use it too. Did you know that Thomas the Train is Thomas the Tank Engine over here. That's just weird.

Michael and I were using gloves while doing our outside work so Sophie decided she wanted to put on her gloves as well.

She is getting the hang of eating Mexican with us.
