Well, each weekend we see more and more progress. This week we finished up the side yard with stairs, the rest of the garden and planting grass. Eventually, when we are all done, I'll get the other computer out again and do before and after pictures so you can see how much it actually changed instead of just what we've recently done. Not too many pictures this weekend. We thought it was going to rain on Sunday so we didn't plan much, plus it was mother's day so we didn't work too hard. (Well I didn't really work at all, I sat in a chair and supervised.)
In other news, I'm now at 35 weeks. I'm hoping to make it till at least 37, but after Friday and Sat, I wasn't sure if I was going to. I've had several Braxton Hicks episodes and the baby was so restless it nearly made me sick. He/She seems to have settled down again now though. I'm feeling better today than I have in nearly 5 days. Hopefully this lasts for a bit.
Mother's day was fun. I got more plants and my garden done. It's so pretty. I can't wait till the flowers and strawberries branch out. Sophie is just like me. When she's trying to do something, and can't, she throws a fit till she figures it out. Last Friday there were tears for about 20 minutes until she figured out how to put the lid on a container. Though she wouldn't let mom help her at all either.
Blake is doing well in school. He started playing AFL (Australian Football League) two weeks ago. He played last year but it was with a private league not with the school. The difference is that last year his training was in the evening and he had games every weekend so it took up a lot of the whole families time. With the school league, he plays right after school on Thursday and then rides his bike home and there are no games. Very easy for me to deal with. He also gave his first presentation at school about a researched newspaper article. He did quite well and was very proud.
Starting to plan for my parents arrival. I think I'm planning more for that than I am for the baby! How can you show them all the fun touristy things and show them your normal life all in two weeks??? So far we have one hiking trip planned and one show planned and a trip to the farm.
Potty training is at a stand still. Sophie and I both got sick awhile back and both gave up. She still tells us afterwards so we can change her nappy, but has lost all interest in actually using the toilet. We don't mind, she is only 20 months, and changing a nappy is way easier than getting down to floor level to clean up a mess. One day she'll show interest again and then we'll start again. Maybe my mom will do it while she's here!
