Merry Christmas

I'll try to get some pictures up here some day, but when you are traveling it's just not as convenient. Christmas was a really happy time, though we didn't get to call Michael so we missed him. He was at his families and that phone number was on the computer, which was under contruction since my Dad got a new hard drive for Christmas.

Sophie slept nearly all of Christmas day and didn't open her presents till about 2pm. It was still fun though. She got a snowman with bells on it and a T-shirt from my mom. Since shopping is cheaper over here, she got tights, long sleeves, socks and towels from Santa.

Blake got more books in the Secret of Droon series that he likes from Santa. From my mom and dad he got tools! Boy he has been fixing everything. I should have gotten him those a lot sooner :) My brother got him a marble game where you can construct different paths for the marbles to roll down. His words were "It's the best thing that he's always ever wanted!" He also got a yo-yo which has been a challenge for mom (me) to have patience with.

I got a digital picture frame, which should be interesting to set up, and quilting books! So guess what that meant...yes, I had to go buy some material so I could make some quilts! Don't you love presents that require you to go shopping. I love them, but Michael would rather I didn't.

My brother drove up from Colorado and we had a relaxing Christmas day. Well relaxing after we got my Dad's to do list done anyway. Boxing day we slept in, cleaned up the house, and then went over to my Dad's friends house. His house was on the parade of homes and it was just a dream. He has a top room that is like the room at the top of a light house, round with windows over each direction. In this room he had a nice bar. It was surrounded by a deck and had a hot tub out the back door.

Another impressive room was his theater. Yes he had his own theater. There were 8 nice plush recliners, a projector for a huge screen, surround sound of course, and twinkling lights on the ceiling that looked like stars! Other features of the house that were impressive where of course the kitchen, his hot-tub bath, and his 'little' walk in closet that was the size of the kids rooms back home. He had a front view of the moutains and a back view of the forest. Oh and don't foreget the three car garage.

Satuarday my dad had to go back to work, but we all drove over to Gillette to have dinner with him before Jeremiah headed back to Denver. Yesterday we shopped, and shopped, and shopped, and shopped and...well you get the idea.

Sophie is being really good, we told her not to do anything new until Michael could join us again and so far she is obeying. She is eating a tiny bit of solids. She had potatoes for a few days and is now on Carrots. I only feed her when she's hungry at the same time as we are eating. She really likes to eat with us. She only eats about two spoonfulls total, but of course it takes us several to get that much into her mouth. It's quite fun.

My mom is really enjoying us being here. She's got 2.5 days of work while we rest and work on projects and then we are off to eastern SD to see her dad and our cousins. My next Blog entry probably won't be till we get back from there, so...a week. I can't wait to get to Denver to catch up with all my friends there and meet up with Michael.
