Finally settled

I finally ran out of things to do on my to do list! I guess now I have to find a job or something. Oh wait, I still have a few projects I can work on..whew! That was a close one. This week we had an appointment with the Physio's who said Sophie is doing great. We also had our follow up MRI. We won't get the results until they can book me a follow up appointment, but Sophie did great during the procedure.

This weekend we went to the Murwillumbah Fair/Show. It's mainly to show off horses and has horse jumping events, but it's also a lot like 4h in the US. I enjoyed seeing the quilting and there was some cane, bananas, and animal expo's that were nice. Kaye's neighbor got a lot of awards for his birds. Blake had fun playing the games and I enjoyed my ice cream. Though you remember when everything was $.50 for one play and $1 for 3 plays? Well now it's all $3 and $5!! Geez, talk about inflation. There was one baseball throwing event that was free so Blake did that a lot.

Sophie is starting to play with toys. When I say play, I really mean, grab and bring to mouth to taste, but it's a start! Blake is now having a little more fun playing with her too. She's starting to get into more of a routine during the day so I can get more done. And she's still sleeping through the night so I don't need as many naps either. If I didn't have my projects for Christmas, I'd be down right bored. For those of you that can't see Sophie "play" with her toys, I'm trying to take pictures to send to show you how much she appreciates everyone's gifts.

Kaye is still introducing me to great people here. I don't know why, but every time she says..."let's go meet...." I get a dreadful feeling. I've never had a bad time, in fact I've always had a good time! Excellent in some cases. And some of them turn out to be great friends like Gillian, Jane and her family, etc. So why do I dread it before I go? Probably just habit that I hope I can break. I haven't been so lucky to have such good friends until I moved to Denver and none of those were introduced to me by someone else.

Blake is still doing well. It's starting to get really hot here so he's been playing in the neighbors and friend's pools. We are still having some small issues about him being "naughty" to be cool at school. He does learn though and he doesn't seem to do the same thing twice. - Well again after he got caught! hehehe. He can still throw a baseball and even a strike! And he's now swimming every Wednesday. He's got so much energy though I need to get him back into more regular sports.

Michael is starting to enjoy life more now that his 'honey do' list is getting smaller as well. He refinished the table and made a doggy door for us. He likes to do down and help at the farm and to work on odd jobs around the house here. I have become afraid of bugs, so he and Blake get to feel 'manly' and come save me once in awhile. He's been riding his bike every other morning and is going to Canberra to be part of a Triathlon team the weekend of Nov 17th. He's quite excited about that.

Rocky is doing well. He loves his new doggy door and comes and goes as he pleases. He got his 'big boy' bark and is quite fearsome now. He's doing well with fetch and drop and sit. We are working on lay down and stay now. He has also stayed in his bed at night now with out it being in his cage for nearly a week. He also stays in his bed while traveling in the car so we rarely use his cage any more.

Well, for not having anything new to tell you, or exciting things we've done, I sure was able to fill up a page huh! Well Sophie is off for another nap which means I need to go back to sewing. Miss you all and I hope our trip in Dec/Jan works out.
