It has been an adventure. I'll try to recap what I've done but it may be difficult. Lets see, I've cleaned, unpacked, moved things, cleaned some more, unpacked some more..... hehehe. Ok, I'll be a little more specific.
Monday, when I arrived, it was late in the afternoon and I didn't really do anything but talk to people and go to bed early. Tuesday I tried to figure out where my luggage had gotten to, and got all my computer work caught up. Exciting I know. That all took me until about 1pm. Then Leah took a nap and Thomas and I explored the Oval, finding several play areas and enjoyed the wet ground, but nice weather. After that we went for coffee and a nice meal and relaxing evening.
Wednesday we had a lazy morning, then a walk to the Doctors office, and then a very long shop at the grocery store, and a walk home. Thursday we unpacked everything that Jon had brought over from the old place. The large furniture and kitchen stuff was already in place, but we did all the organizing, find places for things and cleaning out boxes.
Friday we went to Luton to shop for organizational things. It was quite an adventure. We rented the van so we would all fit. It was quite cute to see the children all tucked in together in the back seat. Of course Thomas couldn't sit by Maria because he's obsessed with trying to pull her up to standing or 'burping' her by patting her tummy really hard. In fact, we couldn't lie her down anywhere when he was around. It was cute and annoying at the same time.
Sat Jon and I went over to the old place and did a massive clean out. I cleaned so much my finger nails hurt, and I got blisters on my thumbs. But the good news is, their oven was cleaner than it has been in about 8 years. And I will never complain about cleaning our windows again. These buildings are very old so not only do you have to clean all the mold build up off them, but you have to deal with peeling paint as well. Yuck. OH, and I'm never cleaning another radiator in my life.
Sunday we had a much needed rest day. We went to church, then another trip to the grocery store then an evening of baking. Leah makes banana bread for the coffee shop on the oval to sell and I've made them a few loaves of cinnamon bread. Monday we finished moving the last of the stuff from the other building. All the stuff in the storage places that we didn't clean yet. It was quite a challenge to find spaces in their new place but we did an awesome job.
Today we went to Windsor castle. It was an adventure to get there as Jon had to make two trips to the train station, then the guy sold us the wrong tickets, then Jon had to make another trip home to get the castle tickets that we almost forgot. But we did finally make it onto the train and 2 hours later we arrived at the castle. It is quite huge so it was hard to get any good pictures showing the whole thing. I did pick up a souvenir book that has an arial photo, it also shows you photos of the inside and we weren't allowed to take photos in there. It is a great castle because the Queen still uses it. Of course we didn't get to see that part of it, but we did get to see the big state room that we've seen on TV a few times. We ended with a quick tour of St. George's Cathedral and another 4 trains and two hours later we were home by 5pm.
Tomorrow we have another cleaning day, though it's just a normal clean of the new place since now we have everything in its place. Then I'm packing and going to bed early as I've got to get up at 3am on Thursday to make my first train.

Left: Thomas showed Kaitlyn how to use her prams correctly, by putting canned goods in them and run them around the house.
Right: All three kids in the back seat of the van. Maria is hiding in the backward facing chair.
Left: Thomas reading his paper just like Uncle Jon. I think he misses his dad. Sometimes in the evenings he just wants Jon to carry him around.
Right: The inner court yard of Windsor castle. There are a lot of vehicles around because there is always restoration projects going on and because its a castle that is actually in use by the Queen.
Left: The inner moat that used to protect the main castle and the King is now a very beautiful garden.
Right: The King's Tower and last defense on the hill beyond and inner moat.
Left: Random picture of the castle.
Right: St. George's Cathedral. Again, no photos were allowed of the inside.
