I'm a little behind on my posts since so much happened at once. The pictures for this post are all from what we did for Blake's school holidays. But first let me catch you up a little on the past week. Blake started school on Wednesday. This weekend we spent a nice weekend at home catching up on projects. Monday was a public holiday so we had a family outing to the Rock Pools to show them to Michael. Now it's back to the routine. At least for the next 19 days. Then more fun as my mom comes for a visit.
As for the printing of photos. It looks like all of them worked! I can't figure it out, but it doesn't really matter as long as it works.
Now back to school holidays. Blake got out on a Thursday. On Friday, Kaye came up and had a day with the kids. On Sat and Sunday I can't really remember what we did so it must have been normal boring stuff. Monday we were supposed to go to an obstacle course but it got rained out, so we just went shopping. Tuesday Blake learned on to Paddle board. He took to it really well, but then he does for those types of things. Tuesday afternoon he went to the community center to learn some circus tricks and acting skills. He said it was fun and we got to go play a few games with them at the end.
Wednesday, he spent all day at the centre doing all sorts of games and things. Sophie and I were able to join for the last hour, participating in a Treasure hunt. She was finally getting it by the last few clues. Thursday we had a very full day. We started up north at Paradise Point where Blake did an obstacle course with a slip in slid at the end. Then we went directly East of our house to BroadWater and checked out the brand new RockPools. After that we headed down south to Surfer's Paradise so Blake could take a surfing lesson. And to top it all off, we went to the Australia Fair shopping center (one of the largest I've ever been to.)
Friday was Good Friday and Michael had off work. So we packed up and went down to the farm. You heard all about our Easter in the last post. So now we are all caught up. Oh, did I mention that we did that whole week for only $15 and a little fuel? I'm so awesome at finding free stuff:)
At the Beach. The kids were supposed to be napping in the car, but no such luck. So I figured they could just play in the sand, being too tired to put their suits back on. What was I thinking?
At the Rock Pools. It is a great place for children. The water never gets deeper than their waist. Thomas loved it and Sophie didn't need to hold my hand. I could actually sit and rest while watching instead of participating.
The obstacle course. The waterslide at the end was the big hit. Towards the end they stopped doing the course and just did the waterslide. Sophie was entertained just watching them. Before that we had a great time playing in the park.
Blake paddle boarding. He was actually so good that he had to play at falling off so I could take some funny photos.
