After an inspection every day last week except Tuesday, we had another open home on Sat. Our sales person also convinced the lady who inspected on Thursday to come back. She is coming from a townhouse and was scared that the yard was too big, imagine that, we were trying to get it to look bigger, hehe. So she came back with her parents and decided to put in an offer. And we also got an offer from one of the people who looked on Sat. With two offers, one of which was too low and couldn't even consider, we decided to accept one. It was at the bottom of our acceptable price range, but still in the range.
We then had our building and pest inspection yesterday and the whole family showed up so we were able to meet them. She's a lovely lady with a toddler. Her parents are quite charming, and very protective! After the inspection they were very pleased. Only one little thing we have to do and one little favor we agreed to do as well. We have to replace the back door, which we already knew, and we agreed to take out a section of the cupboard so she could put in her dishwasher. She will be moving in with just her mother to help so we thought we would do that for them to be nice. She also loved my curtains so they will be staying with the house. We can't put the up at a rental anyway, and they really do look nice here (and fit properly). We should have an evaluator here either tomorrow or Monday and will know by next Friday if the contract goes unconditional and we actually sell.
In other news, fall is just around the corner. It's still hot and muggy, but at least it cools off at night and the rain keeps the temperature below 30C. Having Sophie and Thomas home all week together has been a challenge, but not all bad. If only they would learn to play together! I think we will be fighting with that for quite a few years yet. Getting them their own room will help. For fun I took Sophie to a model home yesterday and this place had four ensuites! It might be nice if you had 3 teenagers, but who wants to clean 4.5 bathrooms? It was fun to look though.
We've been able to spend some time outside lately and here are some fun videos.
Sophie was playing dress up.
It took me 3 tries to get them at a time when they weren't fighting!
He loves birds. He saw this one from across the yard and creeped up on it.
I thought I had a few months left before they started fighting over bikes, but I was wrong. He loves push toys. The bigger the better. Even the pram gets pushed.
Its not all fighting, there are times they play nicely together.
