Christmas day was lovely. It was rainy so I was able to at least wear slacks. Still in short sleeves but at least we weren't sweating out our eyes. When Sophie woke up I told her Santa had been here and we should go look at the presents! She ran into our bedroom and wouldn't come out. Finally she said she was scared of Santa and didn't want to go see. I had to explain that Santa came to leave us the gifts but he's gone now and it's safe to go out there. Finally, after she processed this, she ran out to take a peek.
After we got done checking out her stocking, playing with all the things in it and of course eating at least half of the chocolate, she was very helpful to Thomas in checking out his stocking.
Then Kaye and David showed up with Blake and we had a nice present opening skype session with my Mom, Dad, Jeremiah and Grandma Iva. The kids all got wonderful gifts. The rest of the day consisted of a very nice lunch and watching the kids play with their toys.
Boxing day was relaxed. Since we have our house up for sale I took down all the Christmas stuff and boxed it all up. Then we went shopping to get all the great sales and spend our Christmas money.
