Easter turned out to be great fun this year. Sophie actually hunted for her eggs. I was afraid that she would find the first one and then get side tracked into playing or eating it. The first time we saw the Easter Bunny at the library, Sophie was not into it at all. Then she discovered chocolate eggs. The second time we say the Bunny at day care, she still wouldn't let him hold her for a picture but she made sure she got her egg from him.
I had a nice simple hunt planned but then Grandma, Nanna and Bec decided that they needed more chocolate! So the children got spoiled but I'm not complaining as I get to eat more than they do. We spent Sat - Wed at the farm helping with the Pecan harvest. Bec and Jon came to visit with their little one and Jesse arrived as well so it was a reunion for Kaye and David.
Sophie did really well with Lachlan. I wasn't worried about her and the new baby, but it's always nice to have good things confirmed. She played with him nicely and didn't get to rough. She was concerned a little when Michael or I held him but only made a stink if she was really tired. I'll save all the stuff of the family for my next post as there are tons of photo's. Here are a few videos.
Oh, as I was posting the videos (below) I forgot that I didn't talk about Blake's last week of school. So Monday we had parents night and he got to show us all the work that he's done this term, and let me tell you, we didn't do that much work when I was little! Tuesday he had his Cross Country run. Sophie and I were there to cheer him on. He got 9th. Thursday was his last day and thankfully Michael also took this week off so it hasn't been too hard on me with him being home.
Beware nudity!
Bad filming, I couldn't see the LCD with the sun and I was too busy watching him to pay attention to what I was filming. But you do get to see him cross the finish line. They ran 1K.
Found a pretty bracelet in my basket and I have chocolate all over my chin, which makes me a happy girl.
She got really good at finding them in pots. I'll have to find somewhere harder next time.
Helping me make bread. Though she ended up eating more than punching down and shaping.
Easter day parade hat from play group. And what a pretty dress!
If you straighten her hair, it really is quite long. Here is her first braid.
