Birthday Adventure

This last Monday the 12th, Blake turned the big 0-9. We took him to Under Water World, which is sort of an Aquarium. It wasn't as big as we thought, but the kids loved it. We went on Sunday, then on Monday Blake had the day off of school. He got to open his gifts in front of Grammy on the Webcam. He didn't get many gifts as we all pitched in to take him to the Aquarium instead, but he was very happy with what he got. One of his biggest achievements was that he used some of his birthday money to pay off the rest of his debts and still had enough over to spend on candy (lollies), fancy pencils, erasers (rubbers) and sharpeners. He was way excited. Now he has a choice if he helps mom with the papers or not, and if he does he gets to spend the money on whatever he wants.

As for Sophie, she didn't seem to mind Blake getting presents and she didn't. Guess she's not old enough and Blake did let her help unwrap them. The weather here has turned almost nice! Some days the humidity does get up a bit and every once in awhile it gets hot (29C) but it's much better as we are now well into Fall. It finally rained enough to put some water in our new water tank. It will still take many more Liters till we actually use it, but it's a start. It rained the whole week before we got it installed and then stopped for two weeks :) Like always. I had a saying, if you want it to rain, wash your car.

The rest of our projects are about to take flight. We have the plans done for our veranda and they should go to council next week. We have the excavator coming Thursday to get the ground ready for the new carport and the concreter should come next week. It will get messier before it gets better, but at least we will be able to see some progress.

I hit 32 weeks, a big mile stone for us. It means that we won't have to go to a specialty hospital unless something goes wrong. My doctor is pleased with my progress, though I'm getting more unpleasant as the days pass. Its hard to sleep and regular chores are becoming difficult. Poor Michael.

Sophie is potty trained, when she feels like it. We can go a whole day with only one accident or we can go the whole day without a single success. We just kind of let her tell us when she wants to go and when she doesn't. She is only 20 months and it's hard for me to keep on her and sit on the floor next to her while she's on the pot.

We are having problems with our video converter again so all the video's will have to wait till next week.

Blake and Lachlan. After carrying him for 5 minutes Blake decided he never wants to be pregnant and now feels sorry for his mom.
