All is going well

Finally, I have time to do another post! Things have been busy around here. We have nearly finished unpacking. Nanna Bonnie and Grandpa Al were up visiting and my mom finally got to see more of Australia than the hospital.

So last weekend we went down to the farm. My mom got the full tour and met all of my support group. Nanna Bonnie and Grandpa Al were up visiting too. On Sat we took her to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary where she could get a piece of Australia. I got pushed around in a wheel chair so it wasn't too taxing for me. She got to feed the Kangaroo's and see the Koala's and Dingo's and other animals that are native to Australia.

On Sunday, Kaye and my Mom and Nanna went touristing to the markets and Byron Bay. It has a nice light house at the top and is the most eastern point in Australia. They had a lovely Ladie's Day out while I stayed at home and rested. My mom spent the rest of the week running errands with me and making quilts. We are so thankful. She finished one wall hanging completely. She got two more done all except the tying and another two that I only have to put backing on and tie up. They are so pretty too. I'll post pictures once they are hung in our house.

Nanna and Grandpa, Kaye and David came up on Thursday to say good-bye to my mom. It was a lovely dinner. On Friday I had to drive my mom to the airport. These last three weeks seemed like months, but it still seemed to soon for her to be leaving. It was great having her here. I'm not a very outspoken emotional person so she probably doesn't know really how much it meant to me to have her here.

On Friday after the airport, I stopped once again my Quantum and showed off Sophie to Leanne who missed her the first time I visited and then went to the Visa office. Sophie and I had two poopy diapers and a feed before it was our tour but we handed in our application and got our Bridging Visa all done so that is one less stress. They can't kick me out of the country any more! Whoot whoot. Now we just have to wait for them to contact us for an interview and process our application.

This past weekend we mostly stayed home and tried to get things done around the house. We got the garage mostly cleaned out... when I say we I mean mostly Michael. We can now park our cars in the garage again. What a novalty since our drive way has a steep incline and it was a pain to carry things up and walk up every time we came home. Our house is mostly done, just the office boxes and filing left.

Jon and Bec (Michael's brother and partner) came up to visit Sunday with Kaye and David and Jess. It was fun to see them and talk about their upcoming wedding in Oct. I've been so blessed to be welcomed into such a loving family.

Today was my first day at home alone. I narrowed my to do list down to like 3 things and only 2 got done. Sophie was very fussy today. I think she misses Grammy already. I'm hoping that she sleeps extra good tonight since we both had a rough day.

Thanks to everyone that has been sending cards, gifts, emails etc. We really do appriate them. On my project to do list to be done when I can is a list of thank yous and birth announcements that need to be sent out. Don't hold your breath for these as they might not get done till Oct!
