Just waiting around

Well it's been nearly a week with no blog update. The reason..... nothing is happening!

Monday I had an appointment, as always, but nothing is new. Everything is going ok and we are waiting for mother nature. Tuesday I drove around and picked up some couches and changing table. Wednesday I did nothing all day but a 1000 piece puzzle, during the day, and at night we drove around and picked up a bed side table and a rocking chair. Thursday I stayed in bed most of the day, just reading. Friday I went to have lunch with the ladies from Quantum here in the Brisbane office. They were all really nice and their office is so small it's cute. Today we are cleaning and picking up our last bit of furniture, getting ready for my Mom to come. Sunday we are going down to the farm for a nice lunch with Michael's parents.

And that's it!!!! I can tell you everything I've done in the whole week in a paragraph. How boring.

I'll leave you with a few more words from the language here. Most of these are names of common foods or phrases that are just slightly different.

Chips are french fries, and chips. Yes its confusing.
Biscuits are cookies and crackers
Scones are biscuits
How do they keep things straight when they have the same words for different things?
Wet ex is a sponge
They use ONO instead of OBO (or nearest offer vs or best offer)
An Op shop is their thrift stores, though they have Salvos too, sort of like a Salvation Army
A nap is just A sleep
The Chemist is the pharmacy
Tap is the sink
Tinny is a beer can
Capsicum are red, yellow and green peppers

And that's what I'll leave you with. Have to save something for when I have another boring week!
